Deze rijke opname, gemaakt met ESO’s VLT Survey Telescope – de grootste surveytelescoop ter wereld op zichtbare golflengten, wordt bevolkt door een glinsterende menigte van sterrenstelsels. De kenmerken van de vele sterrenstelsels op de foto stellen astronomen in staat om subtiele galactische details op te sporen.
