Grâce au Very Large Telescope (VLT) de l’ESO, les astronomes ont capturé une image figurant l’affadissement sans précédent de Bételgeuse, une supergéante rouge de la constellation d’Orion. Les récents clichés témoignent, non seulement de la baisse de luminosité de la supergéante rouge, mais également des modifications de sa forme apparente.
