---+ EU ARC CASA tutorial for Cycle 0 projects

The workshop is aimed at members of the European ALMA community who are involved in accepted Cycle 0 projects.

It will be an intensive two day tutorial with several hands-on sessions in which you will learn how to perform general ALMA data calibration and imaging with the data reduction package CASA.

Please note that for detailed help with the analysis of your own ALMA data, you have the opportunity to visit your ARC node for face-to-face support. During the tutorial in January, we will not have the opportunity to provide extensive data reduction support for individual projects.

You will need a reasonably powerful laptop (Linux or Mac OSX 10.6 or 10.7) with at least 80 GB empty disk space.

Hand-on sessions will use ALMA Science Verification datasets.

Please download the following three files *before you come to the tutorial*:

You will need a reasonably powerful *laptop (Linux or Mac OSX 10.6 or 10.7) with at least 80 GB empty disk space (before downloading the above data)*.

You should *install CASA* on that laptop before the workshop. Please see the [[http://casa.nrao.edu/casa_obtaining.shtml][CASA download page]]
for how to do that. 

*If you are having problems with CASA installation (which is unusual), please contact us before the workshop and we can find a solution.*

Download the three files for the hands-on sessions onto your laptop as mentioned above.
