casapipe-x.y will generally start CASA x.y with option --pipeline if available
If you run more than one casa session on the cluster, it makes sense to separate the CASA resource directories (NOTE: all nodes access the same lustre file system!). Therefore, the CASA wrapper will prompt you for a session ID.

Weblog viewing

The pipeproc user runs a webserver to display weblogs. If you have access to pipeproc, run
  ssh -Y -t -C -L 8000:localhost:8000 pipeproc@arcp1.hq.eso.org "echo Tunnel set up for 10 hours; sleep 36000"
in a shell (probably you want to create an alias in your .bashrc) and point your webbrowser to
    localhost:8000
 

Job submission

In addition to the use of interactive shells on the cluster, jobs, including those requiring X windows, can be submitted to the batch queue from the gateway server arcp1:
