This plot
This is the Health Check plot for the
quality of the dispersion solution in the GIRAFFE
arclamp calibration data. We display here the QC1 parameter nlin_acc
which describes the average number of lines per fibre accepted for
the dispersion
solution. This plot monitors the
HC data taken in high resolution (H525.8B) and low resolution (L543.1, Medusa1
and 2 only).
The ops log data contain only the parameter PRO.WSOL.NLINES which measures
the nominal number of lines per fibre, before acceptance. This value is
usually slightly higher than nlin_acc.
The purpose of this plot is to monitor the ability of the pipeline to derive a
reasonable
wavelength solution.
Plots 1-5 show the HC settings for high resolution. Plots 6-7 show the HC
settings for the low resolution grating. Plots 8-10 show all settings
per wavelength: Medusa1/2 high-resolution (8), IFU1/2/Argus high-resolution
(9), and Medusa1/2 low resolution (10).
Check the RMS plot of this group for the typical rms of the
dispersion solution, and the RESOL plot for monitoring the resolution.
General information
Click on any of the plots to see a close-up version.
The latest date is indicated on top of the plot.
If configured,
- data points belonging to the latest date are specially marked
- statistical averages are indicated by a solid line, and thresholds by broken lines
- outliers are marked by a red asterisk. They are defined as data points outside the
threshold lines
- "aliens" (= data points outside the plot Y limits) are marked by a red arrow (↑ or ↓)
- you can download the data for each parameter set if the 'Data downloads' link shows up
