This plot

Trending plot for the WAVE UNE/FPET flux, contrast and separation. Only data taken in INS.WLEN.ID=J1228, INS.SLIT1.WIDTH=0.2 arcsec are selected. The upper plots show the FPET flux, contrast and separation determined from the WAVE FPET calibrations and the lower plot shows the UNE flux from the WAVE UNE calibrations.

The FPET_flux is the mean of the peak flux in the extracted 1D spectrum for each fringe of the central order on detector 1.

The FPET_contrast is the mean of the (Imax-Imin)/(Imax+Imin), where the Imax and Imin are peak and through flux in the extracted 1D spectrum for each fringe of the central order on detector 1.

The FPI_separation is calculated as follows: identify the first and last fully visible fringe on the central order of detector 1 and measure their centroid in wavelength space; Count the number, N, of fringes separating them, then calculate the wavelength interval as (wlen_end_fringe - wlen_start_fringe)/N

General information

Click on any of the plots to see a close-up version.

The latest date is indicated on top of the plot.

If configured,

  • data points belonging to the latest date are specially marked
  • statistical averages are indicated by a solid line, and thresholds by broken lines
  • outliers are marked by a red asterisk. They are defined as data points outside the threshold lines
  • "aliens" (= data points outside the plot Y limits) are marked by a red arrow ( or )
  • you can download the data for each parameter set if the 'Data downloads' link shows up
