E-ELT Nasmyth focus
Artist´s rendering of one of the E-ELT Nasmyth foci, equipped with some of the instruments currently studied: METIS (Mid-Infrerred ELT Imager and Spectrograph) and MICADO (the Multi-adaptive Optics Imaging Camera for Deep Observations). Both instruments should be fed by the post-focal adaptive optics module MAORY (A Multi-conjugate Adaptive Optics RelaY for the E-ELT).
The design for the E-ELT shown here is preliminary.
