NGAS is not only an archive system for online archiving of data. It provides the entire infrastructure needed to handle and process data during the entire life-time of the data. In other words: NGAS is an Archive Logistics System.
	Since the system is very adaptable, it is possible to combine it with different kind of storage technologies below or even other archive systems, still having the same high-level interface to the archive system.
