ELT ICS Core Component

Introduction

The Instrument Software Platform - IFW - Core Component, for short “Core”, provides the following features for C++ and/or Python applications:

• Dictionary tools to define the keywords, written in the FITS headers of output data products.

• Convenience functions to faciliate generation of FITS files, driven by DIDs.

• Minor Python convenience utilities and a state machine (SCXML) driven OPC UA server tool kit and other OPC UA tools.

• Python client interface tool (library and shell tool) and tools for the application life-cycle management.

• Common CPP convenience utilities and handling of the CII Configuration Service based application configurations (BAT).
