ELT ICS Data Interface Tools (DIT)

Introduction

The ELT ICS Data Interface Tools, for short “DIT”, provide utilities to handle

• Data Interface Dictionaries (DID).
• FITS files.

For former, the following utilities are provided by DIT:

• C++ library to load and use DIDs from C++ programs (from 2018).
• A number of DIDs, providing keyword definitions of common interest (from 2018).
• A DID Editor (GUI) to create and modify DIDs (foreseen 2019+).
• A WEB interface to allow browsing all DIDs in use at ESO (foreseen 2019+).

Latter provides a library providing convenience functions to create FITS files, supported by the DID keyword definitions.
