Due to the integration of MyMidiGui into OYSTER, the latter package must be installed before installing MyMidiGui. Download and unpack the MyMidiGui distribution in oyster/source, which will create a subdirectory midi
After installing OYSTER, edit the file oyster/oyster.pro to include the correct pointers to the MIA+EWS installation according to the instructions found in this file for running MIA+EWS code.
Version 1.30 also comes with a set of tools to address the problem of a small field of view of MIDI if used with the Auxilliary Telescopes (ATs) and without the Variable Curvature Mirrors (VCMs), as was the case during P76 until the end of January 2006. These tools work only with MIA+EWS Version 1.3. To install them after MyMidiGui has been installed, follow the instructions given in the file mymidigui/INSTALL. At the OYSTER prompt, type mymidigui to start the GUI.
This new version works with MIA+EWS-1.4 and has new features for interactive data analysis, including better compatibility with SCI_PHOT mode.
Version 1.4 does not support the jitter tools included in the previous version of MyMidiGui as these are probably no longer needed now that operations with the ATs always include the VCMs.
The first version to deal with the PRISM spectrum shift.
