XALICE

Dear Emanuela Pompei,

  the message:
ERR) SCDRDx: halphafit.bdf + NPIX - DSCNPR 

indicates, that the file halphafit.bdf has not been created correctly,
because at least one (NPIX) of the standard descriptors has not been written.

So, check the package XALICE if it works correctly on Linux.

If I remember correctly, the context Alice has been done at La Silla, so you
might get some help there about Alice.
