Problem with 98NOV MIDAS installation

I'm installing MIDAS 98NOV on a Digital Alpha system.

Performing the procedure described in Sect. 2.10 of the installation
manual (@ compile.all and @ asci_bin) I get the following error message:

Creating Fonts file x11fonts.dat ...
sh: [...]midas/98NOV/system/exec/fontsup.exe: not found
cp: x11fonts.dat: No such file or directory

What have I to do to fix the problem?
