Dear Midas users,

    since May we have Midas running on the Mac with OS X  at ESO. The
Mac port will be
included in the 02SEP release.

Here the relevant text, extracted  from the
Midas> help [news]
command:

Mac OSX - KB 020508
The 02SEP release of Midas was ported to the Mac OSX system.
There still exists a problem with the GUIs since some GUI related code
wants an include file `msg.h' via:
#  include <sys/msg.h>
and this file could not be found in OSX.
Thus, currently, you cannot use any of the Midas GUIs on the Mac.
