Sorry for such a late reply, but I am not a subscriber to the
midas-users list.  I just happened to look at the archive today.  By
the way, there doesn't appear to be an easy way -- or any way? -- to
get to the archive from the MIDAS web page.  I always have to do a
Google search and click from there.

My web page now has an additional tar file which contains an entire
replacement of the directory $MIDASHOME/$MIDVERS/libsrc/idi/cidi/x11.
If you follow the instructions there, you should be good to go.

Klaus Banse told me that this display support would probably be
available in a forthcoming official version of MIDAS, so you can all
look forward to that.
