Title: Small and tiny-scale structure in the interstellar medium

Abstract:
We present high spectral resolution, multi-epoch observations of 100 low- and high- proper 
motion stars, FLAMES observations of seven Galactic and Magellanic Cloud open clusters and 
CRIRES observations of several close binaries in order to investigate the astronomical unit and 
pc-scale structure of the interstellar medium in the Milky Way. The lines studied are CaII, NaI 
and Near Infrared Diffuse Interstellar Bands at 1318-nm. Initial results are presented and 
compared with a simple model of the interstellar medium.
