Title: ATMOSPHERIC REQUIREMENTS FOR PLANTING TREES ON MARS. INSIGHTS FROM PICO DE ORIZABA. Abstract: The inactive volcano “Pico de Orizaba” located in central Mexico, is an analog environment for a wet Mars. Orizaba has the highest treeline in the world. Therefore the study of soil parameters at this site is of important to understand its response to global warming, and how to introduce trees on Mars (Funding for this research came from IN106013 and CONACyT 21479).
