Dear participant,

In only a little over a month will we meet in Vitacura for the workshop. 
As you will see, we have an exciting programme waiting for us!
Given the size of the workshop, we hope to have very interesting discussions, and
ample time was given to this effect. 


ABSTRACTS:
Please submit your final titles and abstracts not later than 27 October (bss2012@eso.org) 
to be included in the abstract booklet!

PRESENTATION MATERIAL:
We plan to publish your presentation material through our conference web site 
during the workshop with your consent. Please send an e-mail to bss2012@eso.org if
you do NOT want your presentation to appear online.

REGISTRATION:
The registration fee is 150 Euro (50 Euro for students).
For those who did not pay yet by credit card or bank transfer, the exact amount must be 
paid in cash upon registration.
The registration fee includes the welcome cocktail, the conference dinner 
and all coffee breaks and lunches.

ACCOMMODATION:
ESO has made a special arrangement with Hotel Director, in Vitacura, Santiago. 
Located at only a few blocks from ESO, Hotel Director will have a special rate for 
the participants at our conference. Reservations have to be made, however,
                   BEFORE OCTOBER 8 (at noon), 2012.

Invited speakers should inform Maria Eugenia Gomez of their travel schedule so that
she can reserve the hotel.

CONFERENCE DINNER:
A conference dinner will take place on Thursday night, in the gardens of ESO's premises.

Weather conditions in Santiago at the beginning of November (start of the summer) 
are usually sunny and warm during the day. Evenings and nights may be fresher, 
so do not forget to bring a sweater. This is especially true for the conference dinner.
We do not expect rain.
