LISA V Preliminary Announcement

We are pleased to announce that planning for the next LISA (Library and
Information Services in Astronomy) conference has started. LISA V will
be hosted by the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics' (CfA) John
G. Wolbach Library & Information Resource Center
(http://cfa-www.harvard.edu/library/) in Cambridge, MA, in June 2006
(this is not a typo!)

Thus, 18 years after LISA I, the conference will return to the U.S.
Cambridge is well-located on the East coast, minutes away from Boston,
and can be easily reached from many places in the world. The conference
will be held in Harvard University's Science Center located in Harvard
Square, Cambridge (http://www.harvardsquare.com/), only steps away from
hotels, restaurants, theaters and shops. Inexpensive guest rooms are
only a short metro ride away.

The conference theme will be: Common Challenges, Uncommon Solutions. The
members of the Scientific and Local Organizing Committees and the
tentative program will be announced as soon as they are available. If
you would like to volunteer to participate in the planning or have
specific topics or speakers that you would like to see included, please
let us know.
