Zooming in on the cluster and nebula NGC 371

This sequence starts with a view of the southern sky, showing the two Magellanic Clouds. As we close in on the smaller of the two clouds we see several glowing red regions of star formation. The final view shows a new image of one of these, the cluster and nebula NGC 371. This very detailed image comes from the Very Large Telescope at ESO’s Paranal Observatory in Chile.
