Milky Way over Paranal *

The Milky Way gleams over Paranal, site of ESO's Very Large Telescope (VLT). Two of the 1.8-m Auxiliary Telescopes (ATs) with their round covers are visible in the distance, as well as the Very Large Telescope Interferometry (VLTI) lab. Looming in the foreground are two of the 8.2-m Unit Telescopes (UTs).
