The MPG/ESO 2.2-metre telescope at La Silla
The MPG/ESO 2.2-metre telescope at La Silla in the Chilean desert has been in operation since early 1984. Operation and maintenance of the telescope was the responsibility of ESO. The telescope (which is a fork mounted Ritchey-Chretien) was built by Zeis and it is equipped with WFI, FEROS and GROND.
