Bold ALMA antennas

A group of ALMA antennas at the Array Operations Site at 5000 metres altitude.  The antennas are designed to withstand the harsh conditions at the high site, where the extremely dry air is ideal for ALMA’s observations of the universe at millimetre- and submillimetre-wavelengths.
