Glowing ESO 3.6-metre telescope at La Silla

The ESO 3.6-metre telescope (left) has been observing at La Silla Observatory in Chile's Atacama Desert for 40 years, having started in 1977. Since then, it has undergone some major improvements to ensure it keeps producing high-quality images of our Universe.
