Construction of the GPO building at La Silla
Construction of the building for the Grand Prism Objectif (GPO) telescope, at La Silla, in 1967. The GPO was finally installed at ESO’s La Silla Observatory in 1968, after eight years of service in the site testing activities in South Africa.
