Sunset at VLT
The setting sun produces a picturesque backdrop for Antu, Kueyen, Melipal and Yepun: the four Unit Telescopes comprising ESO's Very Large Telescope array (VLT). This flagship facility for European ground-based astronomy is located on Cerro Paranal — a mountain in the Atacama desert of northern Chile.
