VLT Paranal panorama

High-altitude Cirrus clouds pass over ESO's Very Large Telescope (VLT), located at Paranal Observatory in the Chilean Atacama desert, in this revealing panorama. The large enclosures of the VLT's 8.2-metre Unit Telescopes (UT) dominate over their smaller siblings, the 1.8-metre Auxiliary Telescopes (AT).
