Cerro Paranal panorama
This panorama of ESO's Very Large Telescope (VLT) reveals it flanked by the rust-coloured peaks and plateaus of the Chilean Andes. The shadow of Cerro Paranal and the telescope enclosures that adorn it is cast into the landscape as the Sun peaks above the horizon.
