Brilliant blue over ALMA

The Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) comprises 66 high-precision antennas, spread over the Chajnantor Plateau in the Atacama desert. The 5000 metre elevation, which allows the telescope a clear view of the Universe, means thin, wispy clouds and a brilliant blue sky.
