An insider's view from Garching HQ
This poetic image was snapped from the office of one of ESO's Photo Ambassadors, Heiko Sommer. The ESO headquarters are located in Garching, near Munich in southern Germany. Although it is a long way away from the stunning skies over the ESO telescopes in Chile, there is still plenty of local beauty and clear nights under the Bavarian skies.
