Good morning Paranal
The sun is about to rise on the VLT Platform, atop the 2600-metre-high Cerro Paranal. In the background, the Pacific Ocean, covered by clouds, is still in the shade. This picture is taken looking towards the west, from the top of Cerro Armazones, some 25 km away from Paranal.
