Unveiling Catherine Cesarsky’s Portrait
The portrait of Catherine Cesarsky, the sixth ESO’s Director General (1999-2007) is unveiled in a ceremony at ESO Headquarters in Garching, on 12 April 2011. Dr. Cesarsky is standing by the painting, on the left, while on the right is Prof. Tim de Zeeuw, current ESO Director General. The portraits of the previous ESO Directors General are displayed in a gallery at ESO Headquarters.
