MPG/ESO 2.2-metre telescope
The MPG/ESO 2.2-metre telescope at La Silla has been in operation since early 1984 and was on loan to ESO from the Max Planck Gesellschaft. Operation and maintenance of the telescope was the responsibility of ESO until September 2013. The telescope (which is a fork mounted Ritchey-Chretien) was built by Zeiss and is equipped with WFI, FEROS and GROND.
