Building the ESO 3.6-metre telescope
Arrival of the mirror blank for the ESO 3.6-metre Telescope from Corning at REOSC, near Paris, France, in 1967. The first inspection was done by Charles Fehrenbach (left) and André Couder (right). The ESO 3.6-metre Telescope was inaugurated at La Silla Observatory, in Chile, in 1976.
