The ALMA Hotel Residence main hall (artist’s impression)

This illustration of the ALMA hotel residence shows the main hall, in the main building, which will provide a communal area for the staff working at the observatory. The residence will be built at ALMA's Operations Support Facility, at an altitude of 2900 metres in the foothills of the Chilean Andes.
