The First International Astronomical Fair in Calama

The ESO stand, with panels and an interactive model of the Very Large Telescope (VLT) Inteferometer, is displayed together with the itinerant exhibition TWAN (The World at Night) in Calama, in May 2009. In the background is the silver dome of the inflatable planetarium of the University of Santiago (USACH). This exhibition was part of the programme offered by the First International Astronomical Fair of the town, an activity organised by the Municipality of Calama, within the framework of the International Year of Astronomy 2009.
