Allaert Date: 27-09-2005 VLT-SW-JAN2006 - RELEASE NOTES FOR HOS ====================================== seq === Changes (with respect to APR2004): - The filter "QC" (quality change) was added for seq_evtAttach - see SPR 20040191. - added commands seq_dbGetCe and seq_dbSetCe (SPR 20040370) New Features (with respect to APR2004): - the "tablelist" widget was updated from version 3.2 to 3.8. - the "tkcon" console was updated from 2.3 to 2.4 All changes and enhancements are documented in their respective manpages, and in the module's ChangeLog file. bob === Main changes (with respect to APR2004): - in case a parameter is not of the right type, bob will no longer attempt to correct this (e.g. by using the .DEFAULT value from the tsf), but it will rather pop-up an error-dialog independent of the user-level (SPR 20040137). - OS-commands within a template call-back will not be skipped (SPR 20040270). - the format of the configuration file (typically ~/.bobrc) has been modified. Old formats are still read, but there may be warnings suggesting to save this file (which will automatically convert the format). Main new Features (with respect to APR2004): - allow exclusions in the list of OS-commands to skip after the abort flag has been set. Such exclusions are simply the commands preceded by a dash (e.g. -WAIT). See SPR 20040269 - In the preferences-panel, there was a combo-box widget added for mapping "WAIT" command options into log-text (see SPR 20040205). - In the preferences-panel, one can select the audio-server, indicate whether its proper functioning needs to be tested at start-up or not, and set its initial volume. - added public commands to retrieve some settings: audioFailed, bobVersion, configFile, interface, interpreter, obdFile, obdSource (all within the ::bob namespace) All changes and enhancements are documented in the User Manual, and in the various SPRs requesting these modifications. audio ===== This is a new module, part of the HOS package. As its name suggests, it is intended to play sound-files on servers equipped with the corresponding audio-hardware. All documentation related to this subject is contained in VLT-MAN-ESO-17220-3676. ___oOo___
