The Munich Image Data Analysis System, MIDAS, developed and maintained by ESO,
provides
general tools for image processing and data reductions with emphasis on
astronomical applications. At present, MIDAS is distributed once a year in
November.
The system is available for both VAX/VMS and UNIX systems, and is available
to non-profit research institutes free of charge.
This document describes the installation procedure for
MIDAS on VMS systems.
