Template Spectra

Template Spectra

Pickles Stellar Spectral Flux Library

The UVKLIB spectral library (A.J. Pickles, PASP 110, 863, 1998) provides spectra for different spectral types in the domain 115-2500 nm with a step size of 0.5 nm.

Kurucz Model Spectra

Kurucz model spectra cover the range 100-1100 nm with a step size of 0.1 nm.

Planetary nebula

The planetary nebula spectrum corresponds to NGC 7009, Emiss. lines from Hyung & Aller, 1995; Barker, 1983. Produced by J. R. Walsh (Space Telescope European Coordinating Facility), May 1996. This spectrum cover the range 100-1100 nm

HII Region (Orion)

Orion nebula is a composite spectrum. UV lines, optical lines, nebular continuum plus hot star model atmospheres. Produced by J. R. Walsh (Space Telescope European Coordinating Facility), May 1996. This spectrum covers the range 100-1100 nm.

Kinney-Calzetti Spectral Atlas of Galaxies

The Kinney-Calzetti atlas contains a set of spectral templates of galaxies covering the ultraviolet to near-infrared spectral range, i.e. from 0.12 up to 1 micron. Details about how the templates have been constructed can be found in Kinney et al. (1996) for the different morphological types, and in Calzetti et al. (1994) for the starbursts. The following list of templates have been selected from the atlas.

QSO Spectrum

The QSO spectrum is a composite spectrum from from Francis et al. (1991) for the 80-600 nm domain, and measurements from Türler et al. (1999) for the 600-20000 nm range. The latter measurements are taken from the 3C 273's Database.
