CRIRES Quality Control
The upgraded CRIRES is a cryogenic high-resolution cross-dispersed
infrared echelle spectrograph, developed by ESO. It is located at the
Nasmyth B focus of UT3. Compared to its original version,
the simultaneously covered wavelength range increased by a factor of
ten and new detector focal plane array of three Hawaii 2RG
detectors with a 5.3 micrometer cut-off wavelength replaced the old chips.
Before the upgrade, the original CRIRES was in operation from P79
through P93. An overview for the original (pre-upgrade, pre-August
2014) CRIRES can be found
