2013-01-01 2013-11-14 Please be aware that for FORS2 spectroscopic science observations taken between January 1, 2013 and May 31, 2013 the calSelector service may occasionally offer only the dynamically generated list of associated calibrations. In this situation quality of the calibration files cannot be guaranteed. In particular, some of the calibration frames may be saturated or underexposed.

As of June 1, 2013 and until further notice, the calSelector service does not provide any static associations for the FORS2 spectroscopic science data, for all spectroscopic modes. We strongly recommend that the Users check the dynamically generated list of calibrations for possible saturated or underexposed frames. Users are encouraged to refer to the raw data ESO Archive to retrieve additional calibration frames that may be needed to properly calibrate spectral observations.

2013-11-15 present Situation with occurrences of saturated spectral flats improved. Spectroscopic modes of FORS2 are supported again. Static solution in the calSelector is again available.
